RWBY: Nature's Wrath - Ruby Intro

"Huh? Where am I?"

Ruby looked around her. There was literally nothing to be seen. Just a large empty space with nothing and no one inhabiting it.

"This is weird," she said as she walked around the barren space. "I lay down to take a nap and look what happens. I end up in the middle of dust knows where."

Ruby walked for hours. She went up, down and all around, but no matter where she walked to, she felt like she was in the same spot.

"I can't tell if I'm going in circles or triangles," she sighed, dropping down to her knees. "I'm not dead, am I?"

"No, you're not dead. You're asleep."

Ruby quickly stood up as she heard a voice. She frantically looked around for whoever was talking to her.

"Who's there? You better not try anything or... or..."

Ruby reached back to get her weapon, only to realize it wasn't there.

"This is not good," she groaned. "I'm going to be attacked and I can't even defend myself."

"I don't recall saying I'm going to attack you."

Ruby jumped in surprise from the voice speaking behind her. Instantly, she turned around to see a young man with pale skin, long violet hair and silver eyes. He wore a gray jacket over a purple shirt, black pants and gray boots. He also had three earrings on both of his ears.

"Who are you?" Ruby asked, looking at him suspiciously.

The man chuckled. "Who I am is not important. I brought you- specifically, your consciousness- to this dimension so that I can talk to you."

Ruby tilted her head. "I don't know why you need to invade my head just to talk."

"Well, I wanted to talk to you alone for a moment. If you want, you can tell your friends about what we talked about. But for now, I need your full attention on what I am going to say to you."

Ruby nodded, and awaited the man's words.

"I am going to reset this world."

"...What?"

The man's expression darkened. "You heard me. I am going reset this world to the beginning."

Ruby's eyes widened in shock. "Why? Why would you-"

The man put his hand up. "I've said too much. I've got places to go and plans to set into motion. But know this, Ruby Rose: if you or your friends try to stop me, you will regret it. And that is not a threat. It is a promise.

Ruby was frozen in horror. Some guy she just met has declared that he was going to "reset the world". But why would he want to do such a thing? And more importantly, how would he achieve such a lofty goal? These were part of many questions she had for him, but she decided on the one that has been nagging at her ever since meeting him.

"Can you at least give me your name?" she asked.

The man sighed. "Well, seeing how you haven't lunged at me and demanded I reveal my motives, I'll humor you this once. My name... is Lilac."

With that, Lilac waved his hand, causing Ruby to disappear. Now that she was removed from the dimension, he let out a heavy sigh.

"I have a feeling she's going to be trouble," he muttered.
